The Double Connection Knot - Spiral Method

It is much easier to tie the Double Connection Knot with the spiral or corkscrew method, inverted with your fingers over the crossed cords at the bottom, but the instructions are presented this way for clarity with respect to the final orientation of the knot.

Tying

  1. step 1
    step 1 fold your cord at its midpoint and then fold each end back.

    step 2a: fold the LHS to the back

    step 2 take each end and cross the centre loop, one in front, one in back.
  3. step 3
    step 3 tuck each end though it's opposite loop.

    step 4a: black cord tucks through the black loop.

    step 4 spiraling in the same direction, tuck each end through the next loop.

Tightening

    Tighten wiggle the ends as you pull to help the knot to form.
